Comic Jenny Zigrino is set to workshop her “Endings” special in Cambridge.

If you’ve wondered how a comedian’s sets come together, The Comedy Studio has an opportunity to peek inside the process with Jenny Zigrino (“Conan,” “After Midnight”). The Midwest-born, East Coast-sharpened Zigrino has never been shy about showing her work, and she is an outstanding observer, excelling in takes on intergenerational tensions, dating and, recently, justifiable rise of witchcraft (“I have more faith in [witchcraft] than I do in anything Congress is doing right now!”). She acknowledges the “under construction” status of a new hour called “The Final Hour” – about various kinds of endings – and her headlining set in Harvard Square is one of a series of shows designed to help her hammer it out. If Jenny’s prior specials are an indication, you’re in for a blend of timely observations and poignant realizations tinged with trademark feminist wit. When it drops, you’ll be able to say you saw it first.

Jenny Zigrino’s “Endings” workshop at 9:30 p.m. Friday at The Comedy Studio, 5 John F. Kennedy St., Harvard Square, Cambridge. $25.
