Cowboy hats seen May 16 at Boot Barn in Natick – and these are just the white ones.

We said as far back as April that the Western aesthetic is bigger than ever, and the music and fashion at the Boston Calling festival in May proved it. If you’re gearing up for more summer festivals and plan to climb on this wagon, though, the reality is that there is no store in Cambridge or Somerville that covers all aspects of the outfits you want. What you want is at Boot Barn – in Natick, around 20 miles away, a half-hour by car or up to two hours by mass transit. It may be a challenge to get to the store’s collection of everything from flowy bohemian dresses and fringe tops to denim shorts and Western-inspired accessories, but I stopped by May 16 and was impressed by how easy it was (once there) to pull a full look together, from boots and dresses to bags and accessories. If you’re intent on the trek, Boot Barn is a world away at 321 Speen St.

Festival season fringe-top needs can be fulfilled 20 miles from Cambridge and Somerville …
… and all the boots you’d ever want from a Boot Barn.
