Cambridge Housing Authority – Request for Proposals Architectural, Engineering, and Planning Services for Development Activity (2025)

The Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) is seeking the services of up to three (3) qualified design teams to provide professional planning, design, and construction administration services in connection with potential housing and mixed-use development projects.

ย Work under this contract will be identified and performed on an ongoing basis until the feeโ€™s upset limit is reached. Upon identification of a priority modernization project by the CHA, the design team shall evaluate the project and attend a task order discussion session with the CHA.

The design team shall then submit a detailed proposal for that specific project, including the scope of work, the process/methodology and specific tasks to be undertaken, staff assignment, a fee proposal based on the fee schedule and hourly rates negotiated at the time of execution of a contract with the awarded firm(s), and timetable. Upon approval of the task order by the CHA, the design team will proceed with design work and construction administration ofย the specific capital improvement project.

CAMBRIDGE HOUSING AUTHORITY – REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Cambridge Housing Authority, in its capacity as managing member, acting on behalf of Washington Elms LLC, the Owner and Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for Washington Elms Site Improvements Project Phase 2, at 131 Washington Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by LiRo – Hill, Corp. 529 Main Street, Suite 3303, Boston MA 02129.ย 

The project consists of Demolishing and Replace with New Concrete Ramp at North Side and Add Alternate for the South Side Ramp

The work including the add alternate is estimated to cost $85,000.00.

General bids will be received by Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM and publicly opened online, forthwith.

All bids are subject to minimum wage rates as required by the Secretary of Labor pursuant to the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Rates and are included in the project specifications.

General bids shall be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond. A 100% Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bond will be required for the awarded contract.
