Joshua Pite scored three goals and added three assists for the CRLS boys’ hockey team in its 7-4 defeat of Lexington on Jan. 5, 2025.

Joshua Pite scored three goals and added three assists to lead the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School boysโ€™ hockey team to a 7-4 defeat of Lexington on Monday, Jan. 5. Joel Perez had two goals and an assist, Matias Moore had a goal and an assist, and Henrik Emerton scored a goal. Goaltender Owen Goldstein had 38 saves.


In a 5-4 loss to Haverhill on Saturday, Jan. 3, Emerton and Perez both had a goal and an assist. Moore and Pite had one goal each. Max Beckman and Liam Molberger each had two assists, and Josh Abramson added an assist.

On Saturday Jan. 10 at 3 p.m., the Falcons will be hosting their Hockey Fights Cancer game against Lowell at Simoni Rink. Last year, the team raised $6,000 and is close to surpassing that amount this year.

Girlsโ€™ hockey: The girlsโ€™ hockey team (0-5) lost 11-1 to Westford on Saturday, Jan. 3. Alicia Pite scored the lone goal and was assisted by Surina Phelan and Caroline Rapp. Max Cowen-Breen and Norah Whouley split the goaltending, with Whouley making 22 saves.

Boysโ€™ track: Freshmen and sophomore runners from the CRLS track teams competed at the Northeast Freshman-Sophomore Championship on Saturday. For the CRLS boys, sophomore Winslow Lively finished first in the 300-meter dash with a time of 37.68. Sophomore Joshua Silber finished fourth in the race (38.64). In the one-mile run, freshman Thomas Dewitt finished second (4:35.77), and sophomore Gael Berzin took fourth (4:45.77). The 4×200 relay team of Silber, sophomore Daniel Lestrade, freshman Asa Brown, and Lively finished second (1:38.00).

Girlsโ€™ track: For the CRLS girlsโ€™ track team, the 4×200 meter relay team of freshman Mariye Demissie, freshman Alanii Hodges-Figueroa, sophomore Iyana March, and freshman Naomi Baldwin finished first with a time of 1:55.82. Baldwin finished second in the 300-meter dash (43.28).
