The Cambridge-Arlington 7/8 grade boys Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse Division 2 Select Lacrosse scored a stunning come-from-behind victory over Lexington in a semifinal playoff game.

The team, formally the Arlington-Cambridge Demolition Crew, or AC/DC, trailed 7-2 at one point before rallying to tie the game 8-8 and force overtime. In the extra period, Cambridgeโ€™s Ryder Kavet scored the game-winning goal, sending the team into the finals.

The team is undefeated this season and ranked second in the state in Division 2. Lexington was the third-ranked team. Goal scorers in addition to Kavet were Cambridge residents Fletcher Rogers and Logan Tambiah and Arlington residents Bodi Wight and Sam Shoss.

The AC/DC Crew will play the winner of the semi-final between top-ranked Shrewsbury-Marlborough-Hudson and fourth-ranked North Andover, who play tonight.

The final will be at noon on Friday at Harvard Universityโ€™s Jordan Field, 65 North Harvard Avenue. The team and its coaches urged people to come see the match.
