VIDEO SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT SERVICE AND UPGRADE AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS
The Cambridge Housing Authority, as Owner and Managing Agent for its affiliate properties, invites sealed bids for Video Surveillance Equipment Service and Upgrades at Various Locations, in Cambridge, MA in accordance with the bid documents as written by the Cambridge Housing Authority.
The goal of this project is to have the selected contractor inspect 18 sites, generate a complete system report for each development estimating possible upgrades and repairs needed, provide labor and materials required to make such upgrades and repairs. The awarded contractor will be responsible for replacing/upgrading some of the video surveillance systems with a unified and centralized system. This includes, but is not limited to, providing camera and network maintenance, camera and network extension design (ie. cameras and network equipment inspections, installation, configuration, testing), all associated video surveillance equipment (ie. Services, storage, cameras, housings, software, network infrastructure, cabling, wiring, point to point and access points)
The contract value of this project is estimated to be $1.5 million and the term of this contract will be for a period of one year. Contractors must be in business as a corporation or company a minimum of five (5) years in order to be eligible and all workers shall have a valid S-License. Bids will be subject to M.G.L. c.149 Section 44A to J inclusive and to the Prevailing Wage rates.
General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following categories of work: Telecommunications Systems and/or Alarm Systems and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed Update Statement (CQ3). The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding if it is in the public interest to do so. The Cambridge Housing Authority also reserves the right to reject the bids if less than three bids are received.
A Payment Bond and a Performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value will be required by the awarding vendor. The wages paid to all employees on this project shall not be less than the Prevailing Wage Rates. Refer to wage rate schedules in the Project Specification.
