From the Jefferson R. Smith campaign, Sept. 10: The campaign of Jefferson R. Smith for City Council announced the first in a series of events the candidate will be hosting this month, beginning with a meet-and-greet at noon Wednesday at the Citywide Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square.
Guests are encouraged to stop by for a relaxed, informal gathering where they can speak with and get to know Smith. The event is open to the press.
“I’m eagerly anticipating the opportunity to further engage our seniors,” Smith said. “We have a great community of seniors here in Cambridge, and it’s important to hear their views so that I can be a stronger voice for them as a member of our City Council.”
Municipal elections will be held Nov. 5.
