Service starts today for World Wide Bus, which will pick up passengers at Alewife and bring them to New York for $10 (rising later this month to $15 on weekdays and $20 on weekends). The features are nice. The convenience is the winner.
‘Top eateries’ list includes 14 from Cambridge

Fourteen Cambridge restaurants are on Boston magazine’s list of top eateries, the magazine announced today. The list appears in the November issue after the “expert staff visited hundreds of restaurants in and around Boston to present readers with a list of the absolute best restaurants the Boston area has to offer, be it high-end, casual, veteran or upstart dining.”

The flier left this weekend warning tenants of problems at 45-47 Yerxa Road went largely unnoticed, although tenants were concerned upon hearing the details — mainly about the lapse of a certificate of occupancy, making it illegal for them to be there.

Developer can avoid trial, but not auction of his property

The developer of a troubled residential site in North Cambridge was given a new trial date Thursday, although he can avoid a trial altogether if city inspectors agree he has cleaned adequately. The site may not be his his much longer, though, as a foreclosure auction is scheduled for before the trial.
