Police seek unarmed Cambridge Savings Bank robber
Cambridge police are searching for the robber of the Harvard Square Cambridge Savings Bank. The unarmed robbery took place just after 1 p.m., committed by a young man — said to be in his early 20s — in a blue Red Sox cap and dark-colored jacket. Photos also suggest the robber, who stands about 5-feet-9, was clean-shaven and wearing blue jeans.
He was gone when police officers arrived. They searched the area around the 1374 Massachusetts Ave. branch and spoke to witnesses without finding the robber and are now asking the public’s help in finding him.
People with information about the crime are asked to leave a message with the Cambridge Police Investigations Section at (617) 349-9340.
