State Rep. Alice K. Wolf, a Cambridge Democrat.

Rep. Alice K. Wolf, a Cambridge Democrat, has summer internship openings in her State House office, her staff director said today.

“State House internships provide a unique opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes on Beacon Hill while gaining valuable skills,” said Kathleen Hornby, the staff director. “In Rep. Wolf’s office in particular, interns are encouraged to carry out independent projects or research on subjects of their choosing.”

Intern responsibilities include following House and Senate debates; attending legislative hearings and advocacy events; drafting testimony, letters and press releases; and helping plan and staff events in the district.

The office is an equal opportunity employer, and people of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply — especially Cambridge residents. Send a cover letter, résumé and a one- to three-page writing sample by e-mail to [email protected] or by fax to (617) 722-2197.  Questions should be directed to Hornby at that e-mail address or at (617) 722-2810.
