Monday is last Web Innovation meetup until fall
It’s going to be a long summer for high-tech entrepreneurs and the venture capital crowd. The last Web Innovators Group gathering until the fall is scheduled for Monday.
These giant meetups offer three “main dish” presenters, each getting a few minutes to pitch their product and another few minutes to take questions, as well as a bunch of “side dishes” to explore while mingling with the other attendees — anywhere from 800 to 1,200 people in recent events.
Found David Beisel, of Cambridge-based venture capital firm Venrock, told participants in a Thursday e-mail about the presenters at WebInno26:
From MIT scientist-developed visual recognition to car sharing, from subscription billing to subscription underwear, the set of startups demo’ing are truly innovative … The doors officially open this Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Royal Sonesta, with our demos starting in the grand ballroom at 7 p.m. We’ve added extra seating and speakers in the room for this session to accommodate the crowd.

The event is open to all in the web and mobile community, and registration remains open until 3:30 p.m. Monday.
