Applications are sought from dedicated people who live or work in Cambridge. Members are expected to attend monthly meetings as well as to review materials and possibly take part in projects outside of regular meetings. The committee advises on city positions and policies about long-term sustainable funding for transit by the state; transit expansion; service planning; and service improvements. It meets generally on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Citywide Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square.
