Outstanding City Employee Award nominations must be made by April 8
From the City of Cambridge, Feb. 29, 2016: City employees that have gone above and beyond their job requirements can be nominated through April 8 for Cambridge’s annual Outstanding City Employee Awards.
Winners will be recognized at a May 6 awards ceremony for criteria for outstanding performance that include:
Strong leadership and a high level of commitment to the City and its residents.
Outstanding customer service or service to fellow employees.
Developing an innovative or creative solution to a problem.
Making superior contributions to the success of a project, completing work on time and within budget.
Donating significant time to activities that benefit the community or encourage and value community involvement.
Demonstrating an exceptional ability to work in a multicultural organization.
Contributing consistently to better city operations.
All city employees are eligible for nomination, and anyone who lives or works in Cambridge may nominate as many employees as they wish for recognition (although a separate nomination form or letter must be submitted for each, and an employee may not nominate her or his own supervisor or department head for recognition).
Nominations will be available online. For information and nominations, call (617) 349-4301. A signed nomination letter may be submitted instead of the nomination form. Send completed nominations to the Personnel Department by April 8. Nominations can also be emailed to Maryellen Carvello at [email protected] or faxed to (617) 349-4312.
