Discussion of criminal justice reform bills to be held Tuesday with state Sen. Jehlen
From state Sen. Pat Jehlen, April 21, 2017: The Greater Boston Interfaith Organization invites constituents from Cambridge, Somerville and Medford to discuss bringing about meaningful reform to the criminal justice system, specifically repealing mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent drug offenses; addressing pretrial and bail reform; eliminating unfair fees and fines; and reducing the length and application of solitary confinement. State Sen. Pat Jehlen, a co-sponsor for four bills on those topics, will be at the meeting, scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reservoir Church, 170 Rindge Ave., North Cambridge. RSVP here.
