The Porter Square Neighbors Association plans a panel conversation this week on “Legal Pot: The Status and Possible Effects on All of Us.” Expected panelists are David Lakeman, director of government affairs for the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission; state Sen. Pat Jehlen, chairwoman of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Marijuana Policy; and Jeff Roberts, director of zoning and development for the City of Cambridge. Jeff Byrnes, a Somerville member of the association, will moderate.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Room 2-048 of Lesley University Hall, 1815 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square. Questions and observations are welcome.
