Riverside’s Early Head Start program prepares children for preschool and helps families learn parenting skills. To introduce families to the program, it plans a free community baby shower from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at 474 Broadway, Magoun Square, Somerville. Pregnant women and parents with infants up to 3 months old are invited to come and form connections with other parents and community service agencies.
Attendees will get resources, snacks, the chance to develop parenting skills – and the chance to celebrate. Everyone at the shower will leave with a goodie bag designed to support newborns.
Call (781) 468-6010 or text “shower” to that number to register.
