Antonio Morales’ โ€œslutty tarot readingsโ€ is part of a show set for May 17 in Somerville.

Sex Week Boston kicks off May 11, focusing on โ€œeducation, queer and trans joy, and sexual liberationโ€ throughout the area. Amid events such as workshops on zine making, sexual health and romance writing lie a trio of comedy shows finding the funny in sex. โ€œMr. Tampon Man’s Menstrual Menagerieโ€ kicks off the week at Rooted Armory Cafe, a menses-themed show and period product drive presented by Roya Hamadani (Pigeon City Sketch) and her flagship sketch character, Mr. Tampon Man. On May 15, keep your eyes on โ€œBazongas: An Evening of Boob Humor,โ€ a product of Half a Mind Comedy taking place at Upstairs at Bow and raising money for the Point of Pride Trans Surgery fund. The week winds down with โ€œFucking Hilariousโ€ at Union Squareโ€™s Green Room on May 17, a showcase of local comedy paired with โ€œslutty tarot readingsโ€ by New Normal Boston and Mooish Productions. Sex is more than just serious or sultry, and these shows promises to celebrate it in ways silly and surprising. Tickets for all three shows are available through the event calendar at sexweekbos.com.

Sex Week Boston comedy starts with โ€œMr. Tampon Man’s Menstrual Menagerieโ€ from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave., Spring Hill, Somerville. $12.50.
