The Cambridge branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will elect its leadership Nov. 30. All eight officer positions and up to 24 at-large seats on the branch’s executive committee are up for election, according to branch secretary Ayesha Wilson.
Current branch leadership includes President Kenneth Reeves, first Vice President Richard Harding, second Vice President Steven Brown and Secretary Wilson.
Voting for the biennial election will take place remotely through the online platform ElectionBuddy from 5-9 p.m., with eligible members receiving ballots by email or phone.
Prospective members still have time to join and participate in the election provided they become members in good standing by Oct. 31.
The branch will hold virtual membership meetings Oct. 14 and Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. For information or assistance joining, email naacpcambridgema@gmail.com.
