Natalie Wall wants you to find pride, or maybe even a little empowerment, in your most embarrassing sex stories. (Photo via the artist)

Living through our own sexual misadventures can feel humiliating, but there’s something compelling about hearing them happen to other people. Which is what makes Refinery29’s review of “Awkward Sex and the City” feel so apt: “The voyeur within will delight.” Following a 2022 run at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, comedian and podcaster Natalie Wall is bringing a highly personal twist on her weekly audio experience to vivid life on stage at The Rockwell. But the podcast has her sharing storytime with other comedians; the live show places her stories front and center, walking the line between awkward enough to be captivating and not so awkward you want to turn away. Not many can navigate this ground effectively, but Wall’s relatable hosting skills and comfort in self-exposure not only makes for an enjoyable night of viewing, but can empower you to enjoy even your own most cringeworthy encounters.

“Awkward Sex and the City” at 7 p.m. Jan. 30 at The Rockwell, 255 Elm St., Davis Square, Somerville. $15 to $20.
