London Fog ice cream

The J.P. Licks ice cream chain says that โ€œin collaborationโ€ with the upcoming film โ€œDownton Abbey: The Grand Finale,โ€ it has a London Fog flavor โ€“ sweet cream ice cream with lavender and Earl Grey tea โ€“ at stores through September while supplies last. The chain serves a London Fog beverage year-round, too: a warm, tea-based latte made with Earl Grey tea, steamed milk and vanilla syrup. โ€œThe drink is known for the citrusy flavor of the bergamot oil in the Earl Grey tea, which pairs well with the creamy vanilla,โ€ the chain explains in an email.

Wild Mushroom Dinner sells fast

Wow. Urban Hearth chef Erin Miller and Tyler Akabane, who runs The Mushroom Shop in Somerville (and the Mushrooms for My Friends social media account), has two Wild Mushroom Dinner seatings planned for Oct. 21-22, at the height of New Englandโ€™s mushroom foraging season and found by Miller and Akabane. (โ€œThereโ€™s no greater pleasure than crafting a meal from wild mushrooms gathered straight from the woods,โ€ Urban Hearth blogger Abigail Taylor says.) Though in classic Cambridge-Somerville fashion, the meals have sold out before itโ€™s even mid-September, the restaurant says there are still seats available if guests reach out to it directly, as it is offering a few seating times.

This post was updated Sept. 15, 2025, to note that here are still seats available at Urban Hearthโ€™s Wild Mushroom Dinner seatings.
