The Blue Room is reviving its Spaghetti Western Mondays event for one last ride. The series that started in February with โA Fistful of Dollarsโ ends Monday with โA Fistful of Dynamiteโ (also known as โDuck You Suckerโ), Sergio Leonโs 1971 film about an IRA explosives expert who gets pulled into the Mexican Revolution.
Thatโs perfect for the Kendall Square restaurantโs series, which aimed to copy Leoneโs โblend of all things Italian and Americanโ through matching up films with food by chef Robert Grant and drinks by guest mixologists brought in for the night.
In this case the bitters and Bully Boy American Straight Whiskey will be served by bartenders John Nugent (of Citizen Public House, Brick+Mortar and Silvertone) and Nick Korn (of Citizen Public House).
Specialty cocktails and bar bites inspired by the filmsโ Italian-American marriage are served ร la carte for $9 to $13.
The Spaghetti Western Monday runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at The Blue Room, 1 Kendall Square.
