For Cantabrigians not registered to vote in the next state election, the deadline is 8 p.m. Wednesday. The election will be held Nov. 4, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election Day.

Absentee ballots are available at the Election Commission office. Voters who are unable to go to the polls Election Day due to physical disability, religious belief or absence from the city may request an absentee ballot. The deadline to apply is noon Nov. 3.

Absentee ballots may be mailed to voters, or absentee voters may vote at the commission office during regular office hours: Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The office will also be open for absentee voting from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 31 and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Nov. 1.
