Two Unity Slate candidates for reelection to the City Council have campaign events Thursday in two city squares.
Vice Mayor Dennis Benzan’s campaign said it plans to have a launch event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Moksa Restaurant, 450 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square.
Fellow councillor Leland Cheung – and a fellow member of the seven-councillor slate of incumbents for the November election – has an “End of Summer/Welcome to Fall” fundraiser at the same time, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at The Sinclair, 52 Church St., Harvard Square.
Cheung proposed optional donations of $100, $250 or $500, saying in a press release, “I hope you’ll be able to join us for food, fun, friendship and, of course, a spectacular view of the city.”
