Local minority- and women-owned businesses looking for a way to get in front of customers may get a storefront opportunity at CambridgeSide this month with MPowered, a pop-up shop.

The โ€œinteractive space celebrating diversity and equity in businessโ€ will have a rotating lineup of ventures and a goal of promoting existing small businesses, said Christopher Hope of The Loop Lab and Equity Intelligence, a boutique consultancy specializing in professional diversity, equity and inclusion staffing and training. It is Equity Intelligence that is opening the space in the mall.

Businesses interested in being featured or advertising in the store should contact hello@promotingequity.com, Hope said.

Melissa LaVita, senior marketing director at CambridgeSide, said the mall looked forward to โ€œsupporting these businesses to help them grow and gain additional exposureโ€ throughout the month.

Another East Cambridge pop-up shop this month featuring small businesses owned by women: Viv For Your Vโ€™s bricks-and-mortar Feminist Bodega, coming Aug. 21-29 toย 550 Cambridge St., East Cambridge.
