Boston Pride returns to the community
When Boston Pride was dismantled last July, a coalition of LGBTQ+ community activists and groups stepped up and got busy. They reimagined a new Boston Pride organization in which long-ignored marginalized groups – especially communities of Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, and people of color – become essential actors in its new chapter.
Central Square’s techno and house scene travels on Friday to Boston’s Infrastructure Music Fest
The Cambridge electronic music scene pays a visit to Boston on Friday to feature in the Infrastructure Music Festival. The outdoor festival, hosted by Cambridge-based DJ collectives Infra and Keep On, will feature continuous underground techno and house music on two stages, one for the DJs of each organization.
Grendel’s Den has 50 years of stories to recount (and is doing it in the ‘People’s History’ podcast)
At 50 years old, Grendel’s Den is not only going strong, but has come to embody the essence of Harvard Square and how it (always) “used to be cool.” The podcast we’re putting together, “A People’s History of Food and Drink: Five by Ten in the Den,” is meant to bring people back to the nostalgia of each of its decades.
