One of two charges against developer heads to court

The developer of illegally occupied condominiums on Yerxa Road and Rindge Avenue is headed before a judge, according to residents who attended a hearing Tuesday. But the city is apparently granting a certificate of occupancy for the site, where units have been leased without the document.

There’s a lot to like about Catherine D’Ignazio’s suggestion for Cambridge Street. It’s an art installation, a record-setting event and good eating. But The World’s Largest Potluck Ever is only one 10 ideas proposed for the street and on display through June 11.

Granted “The Pillowman” is showing in Harvard’s experimental theater, but the experimentation has gotten out of hand. This is a production that could benefit from a director having fewer ideas, and possibly fewer resources.
