A 19-year-old Cambridge man was arrested without violence early today on suspicion of shooting a man at 6:23 p.m. Feb. 10 on Columbia Street, police said.

The arrest of Schuyler Oppenheimer was made at a Dorchester apartment, an address police discovered during their investigation of the shooting, they said. The suspect was known to witnesses, and police found he had outstanding warrants. He will be arraigned Monday in Third District Court for assault with intent to murder, possession of a firearm and discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was shot in the abdomen and called 911. The crime came less than two weeks after a Jackson Street shooting of a Quincy man that, like this shooting, was considered “deliberate and targeted.” The shootings happened far apart and are not considered related.
