City councillor Marjorie Decker’s request to be removed from the council’s Neighborhood & Long-Term Planning subcommittee has been approved and accomplished, Mayor David Maher said in an April 29 memo.

Decker made the request March 31, saying, “I do not want to be remiss in my duties … given the breadth of work I expect to be engaged in as chair of the Housing, Health & Finance Committee.”

Councillor Denise Simmons has replaced her on the committee, joining chairman Sam Seidel and member Leland Cheung.
