The Cambridge Police Department sergeants in the Peabody neighborhood invite the area’s residents and businesses to a meeting Tuesday to talk about what police do there, how they can work with the community to do it and how safe the neighborhood is, said the department’s Holly Bernier. There will also be presentation on the 911 Emergency Communications Center, she said.

The Peabody neighborhood is generally considered to be within Massachusetts Avenue and the railroad tracks above Concord Avenue and Garden Street.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the cafeteria of the Graham and Parks School,
