The 10-year anniversary of Stash’s Comedy Jam is set for 9 p.m. to midnight Tuesday at The All Asia Café, and coming together in typically endearing slapdash fashion.

It was only Jan. 28 that founder Stash was on a comedian’s message board announcing the event and pleading, “I need some comics to do time.”

This open-mic event returned from hiatus Feb. 2 of last year, but in its run has been an enduring source of pleasure and money for audiences and comedians. (There are prizes at the events, with Tuesday’s promising $100 to the funniest.) As a result, the host got quick commitments from comedians such as Jimmy Bowes (“I’m like the cable company: I’m not overly dependable, kind of expensive, but I provide a wide variety of entertainment”) and Rich Gustus, a longtime area comedian, teacher of comedy and producer and actor — including an appearance on “Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist.”

The café is at 334 Massachusetts Ave.
