Yes, it is true: Up to 3 inches of snow is expected to fall in Cambridge through 8 p.m.

Yes, it is also true that Moksa is offering an “In the Snow” outdoor dinner tonight at 7 – a dinner that, to be clear, is on its outdoor patio in Central Square and thus literally in the snow.

“Space is limited,” the restaurant said in a press release this afternoon. “Guests are encouraged to dress warmly and bring their own blankets in addition, if they would like.”

(Hint: At 7 p.m., the temperature is expected to be 26 degrees and feel like 16 degrees, according to weather.com.)

This $25 dinner (tax and gratuity not included) is heavy on warming cocktails for the takers, with dinner advertised as three courses of “snow-inspired fare presented in small plate format that will keep them warm and cozy while catching snowflakes on their tongues.” The courses:

Hot and sour soup paired with sake; either seafood tom yum soup, slow-cooked baby back ribs with Thai fried rice or vegetable massaman curry paired with grog made with apple cider and rum; and a dessert of coconut rice pudding paired with warm milk and honey crafted with infused brandy, rooibos and Boston honey.

For reservations call (617)661-4900. Moksa is at 450 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square.
