101413i-Leland-CheungCity councillor Leland Cheung announced the kickoff for his campaign for a fourth term would be at 10 a.m. June 6.

“Please join my family and our team next Saturday before Cambridge’s River Festival,” he said in a campaign email. He noted that the “family-friendly brunch” and fundraiser would be at  at Puritan & Co., 1166 Cambridge St., Inman Square, “named the Best Brunch of 2014 by Boston Magazine.”

Attendees can RSVP here.

Cheung told Cambridge Chronicle reporter Sara Feijo on Wednesday that he would be running again to see through “plans, projects and policies” such as improving city technology and ensuring Kendall Square remains open to startups and small businesses, and that he hoped to “bring the same ethos of collaboration and vision that I’ve brought to the City Council to working with members of the School Committee to foster tighter connections between the city and school administrations. It’s going to require a coordinated effort to ensure that new learners and re-entrants alike have access to great jobs in the economy of tomorrow.”
