On the 10thย of 11 days ofย early votingย in Cambridge, there was turnout of 1,684ย people at the cityโs five polling places, making forย a seven-day total of 16,642 citywide.ย Statewide, someย 800,000ย residents have voted early, according to the office of Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin.
Early voting, required by the state, began Oct. 24ย andย ends Friday; Election Day is Tuesday.
There are 71,370 registered voters this year in Cambridge (up from 63,325 last year), according to Election Commission figures lacking final mail-in registration figures, which puts the number of earlyย voters in the city at 23.3 percent of everyone who could cast a ballot in the city.
