From the City of Cambridge, Jan. 17, 2018: Applicants are being recruited by the city to take the state’s Open Competitive Municipal Service Written Examination for firefighters on March 24. The early application deadline is Feb. 7, with an application fee of $200. Applications will be accepted no later than Feb. 21, with a fee of $250.
Cambridge, in conjunction with the state’s Human Resources Division, is holding a candidate open house information session from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23 in Sullivan Chamber at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. Representatives from the state, Cambridge Fire Department and city Personnel Department will be on hand to answer questions.
