The placing of a “ghost bike” is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday at Brookline Avenue and Park Drive in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, where Cambridge resident Paula Sharaga, 69, was killed a week ago. The bicycles, painted white and with baskets laden with flowers, are chained at sites where riders have died in traffic collisions.

“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the Cambridge librarian, who was beloved by the community,” organizers at the Boston Cyclists Union said.

The ceremony will be led by the Rev. Laura Everett, organizers said. People who want to take part can send email to [email protected].
