Broadway gets a zoning study

Broadway corridor study public kickoff, 6 p.m. Monday. The cities of Somerville and Medford host a neighborhood meeting to discuss the Broadway Corridor Zoning Study, which will look at the area between Ball and Magoun squares. The meeting will be held at the Arthur D. Healey School, 167 Holland St., in the Tufts neighborhood near Teele Square.


Union Square Main Streets event

Keeping Small Strong neighborhood open house, 4 p.m. Tuesday. Union Square Main Streets, a local nonprofit that promotes and celebrates its home, hosts an open house for its neighbors, business leaders, community partners, property owners and appreciators. The free event is an opportunity for attendees to connect with the organization and learn more about its work, including how the nonprofit is piloting an alternative model to support Union Square businesses. RSVPs are encouraged. The event will be held at Counter Culture Coffee, 374 Somerville Ave., Union Square.


Open space and recreation ideas

Open space and recreation community visioning session, 6 p.m. Thursday. The city is updating its Open Space & Recreation Plan and asking the community to give its opinions on its related programs. The city will examine the feedback and set goals based on what it hears. A survey is also available to take. The visioning session will be remote via Zoom; register beforehand.
