National pizza day is Friday, and that has inspired Posto Pizza Week, during which the restaurant in Somerville’s Davis Square plans to bring back some of its original favorite pies.

The promotion runs Monday to Friday, and the six oldies on the menu include old-school sopressata, spicy fennel sausage and potato and a four-cheese hot honey. Posto will also serve its menu of regular pies that includes meatball, Buffalo chicken and its Almondine of toasted almonds, ricotta, mozzarella, fontina and chili-infused honey, plus its antipasti, insalate and pasta offerings. 

Posto was named No. 47 on last year’s list of bests in the country by 50 Top Pizza, which ranks eateries across the world. It’s the only Massachusetts pizza that made the list.

Patrons who post on Instagram with the tag #postopizzaweek will be entered into a raffle to create and cook their own pizza with Posto chef Juan Perez.
