AN ORDINANCE
In amendment to the Ordinance entitled โCambridge Municipal Codeโ
That the Municipal Code of the City of Cambridge be amended in Chapter 8.71.040 entitled โRequired noticeโ as follows:
8.71.040 Required notice.
8.71.040.1 Notice to Tenant/Former Homeowner. At the inception of a tenancy and when a landlord or foreclosing owner serves the tenant or former homeowners any notice to quit or notice of lease nonrenewal or expiration, such landlord or foreclosing owner shall, at the same time, also provide the tenant or former homeowner with a notice of basic housing rights and resources, including a list of organizations available to assist tenants and/or former homeowners with their contact information on a form or forms prepared by the City of Cambridge which shall be attached thereto. Where a landlord or foreclosing owner is exercising a right of lease nonrenewal or expiration, the owner shall give such a written notice prepared by the City of Cambridge at least thirty days prior to commencing any summary process action against the tenant or former homeowner. Such notice shall be provided in-hand or by both certified mail and first-class mail.
8.71.040.2 Notice by the City. The City of Cambridge shall annually publicize the requirements of Chapter 8.71 on the Cityโs website and through other digital City notifications directed at the community, such as daily update e-mails and social media. The City shall use reasonable efforts to mail notice of these requirements to every residential address in the City at least annually; this mailing may be a postcard that contains a QR code or other electronic link to the Cityโs website or may be part of another City mailing that goes to residential addresses. Also, the City shall annually provide information about the requirements of Chapter 8.71 at a City sponsored community event/program that is organized to provide information about housing resources. The City may publicize and provide information at events/programs about the requirements of Chapter 8.71 more frequently.
Passed to a second reading as amended at the City Council meeting held on August 5, 2024 and on or after August 26, 2024ย the question comes on passage to be ordained.

Cambridge Housing Authority, in its capacity as managing member, acting on behalf of WOODROW WILSON COURT LLC, the Owner and Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for Project 24 WWCโ001โ02 Woodrow Wilson Roof Replacement, at 9 Woodrow Wilson Court, Cambridge, MA 02139, in accordance with the documents prepared by MMT Architects, Hingham Street Suite 201 Rockland, MA 02370.
The project consists of the complete removal of existing and replacement of the roof systems on the 3 buildings that comprise Woodrow Wilson Court.
The work is estimated to cost $465,000.
All bids are subject to Massachusetts minimum prevailing wage rates as required by the Secretary of Labor and included in the project specifications.
General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to WOODROW WILSON COURT LLC.ย A 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond will be required for the awarded contract.

Regulation Number 66-1, Section 21.2, โSCHEDULE 13โ is hereby amended by striking out the following: ย
Sections 16.3(a), (e) and (f), 16.4(a), 16.4(c), 16.9, 16.13, and 16.14. Section 18.3(b)
The penalties for the above sections shall be $25 except for the following sections: 14.1(a) 2-3 and 7, 14.1(b) 9-10, 14.7(a)(b), 14.9(a)(b), 16.4(b), 16.8, and 16.14 shall be $30. Sections 14.1(a)1, 14.1(a)9, 14.1(a) 4-6, 14.1(b)2, 14.1(b) 6-8, 16.3(f) and 16.5(b) shall be $40. Sections 14.1(a)(10), 15.2, and 16.7 shall be $50.00.
The first late penalty shall be $10 for all sections except 14.7(d), 15.2, 15.5(a) and 16.7. The first late penalty for Sections 15.2 and 15.5(a) shall be $0. The first late penalty for Section 14.7(d) and 16.7 shall be $5. The second late penalty shall be $0 for Sections 15.5(a) and 16.7.
