Affordable housing in Union

Affordable Housing Trust Fund, 5:15 p.m. Thursday. For the first time since its approval by a local council in 2019, a Union Square housing development project will move to the cityโ€™s Affordable Housing Trust Fund to be heard as new business. Although its completion was expected by 2022 โ€“ with 51 units, 39 of which were to be affordable housing โ€“ the project has been in limbo since its approval, with residents growing increasingly frustrated at delays. Federally funded programs

Office of Strategic Planning and Community Planning, 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The public can give input on the progress of federally funded programs such as those aimed at affordable housing and aid to the unhoused to Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development for the next Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report. Federally mandated, the annual report helps decide spending priorities. Watchable via videoconferencing.


Demolition of 19th century home

Historic Preservation Committee, 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Mazel Tov LLC seeks to demolish a historic home on Cedar Street in the Spring Hill neighborhoodย and needs permission to proceed in the multistep process. The house was built more than a century ago, in 1900, and has been owned by a couple since 1962. The company behind the application does not have an Internet presence and has not made it known publicly what will replace the two-unit home. Watchable via videoconferencing.
