Price: $10

At Los Paisanos, $10 gets you a long way. On a food crawl in East Somerville last weekend, which will be the source of our next few Snacks, I tried Los Paisanos, where I got a carnitas burrito that included a large side of fries. It was a hefty burrito, with Mexican rice, black beans, pico de gallo and crema, plus the fries. I thought it was a bit heavy on the rice, that the carnitas could have been a touch more flavorful and that it all would have been better with some cheese, but the rice was flavorful and the hot sauces it came with were punchy and tangy. Los Paisanos’ wasn’t the best burrito I’ve ever had, but it was one of the better ones I’ve had in Camberville, a definite step above the (already solid) burrito I had at Achilito’s in Harvard Square in February.
