We’ve still got about a month of summer camp season, and SlapSchtick Comedy is embracing the moment with its latest nostalgic romp (their words!), “Wet Hot American Jews.” You don’t have to be a fan of the 2001 film of (nearly) the same name to enjoy the unique blend of “classic improv, original sketches and more than a little singing.” Greater Boston’s only all-Jewish improv troupe expects that you’ll find comfort and comedy in its take on this sunshine-tinged rites of passage: cutoffs, campfire confessions and the harried process of labeling all your underwear before a summer away from home. While Jewish audience members will find a special kinship to the show, folks of all faiths are welcome to gather around the fire for the laughs and late-night shenanigans you might find in the shadow of rustic cabins. Grab your tickets and canteens and prepare for a night of fun to write home about.
SlapSchtick Comedy Presents: “Wet Hot American Jews” at 7 p.m. July 26 at The Rockwell, 255 Elm St., Davis Square, Somerville. $15 to $20.
