All She Wrote Books weddings include photos by Devon Moos, who also provides justice of the peace services.

In response to a recent Supreme Court hearing on same-sex marriage, All She Wrote Books hosted a Love Can’t Wait Another Day wedding marathon Saturday, allowing five couples to marry at the bookstore.

“They have these very beautiful stories and paths to coming to this decision, and we couldn’t think of anything better than to celebrate their love with us,” said Christina Pascucci-Ciampa, the owner and founder of All She Wrote Books in Somerville.

Saturday’s marathon filled up fast – but that’s not all she wrote at All She Wrote, which books weddings year-round.

Weddings at the shop are their own whole section of the store’s website, where the details offer the work of photographer and officiant Devon Moos. Prices on the website are estimates, Pascucci-Ciampa said, and she is willing to work with queer couples feeling a financial pinch.

“It’s really about not making it a cost barrier for queer people, and giving them all the things that they would want out of a marriage ceremony, which is a celebration of their love and a way to remember that through pictures and other mementos,” Pascucci-Ciampa said. “Our process is pretty straightforward, if someone wants to get married here, we’ll work with that couple, in one way or another, and make sure this space is accessible to them.”

Wedding packages through All She Wrote launched in October. “There’s so many different ways businesses can show up for queer people,” Pascucci-Ciampa said. “It’s really about being kind and treating them with empathy and respect and love.”
