The Cambridge Rindge and Latin School football team (5-4) defeated Everett, 47-46, on Friday after running back Jamai Lewis scored on a two-point conversion with 40 seconds remaining in the game. Lewis finished with a total of 164 yards and added three touchdowns. On defense, he had seven tackles and a blocked punt.

Quarterback Joseph Derege completed 16 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for 35 yards and another two touchdowns. Paul Dottin led the running attack with 157 yards and a touchdown. Hugo Green caught four passes for 46 yards, and Kamai Green had three catches for 44 yards.

On defense, Chris Jean Baptiste had nine tackles, and Sebastien Aray, Xavier Santos and Green had eight tackles apiece. Emmanuel Dieudonne added five tackles and recovered an onside kick.

Girls’ soccer: The girls’ soccer team (9-6-2) fell to Bishop Feehan, 1-0, in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 1 tournament to end its season. The Falcons, seeded 31st, gave up the lone goal to the second-seeded Bishop Feehan in the first half after goalkeeper Fio Eddy had made several spectacular saves. Her strong play throughout the match kept CRLS in the game.

Eddy was named an Eastern Massachusetts first team all-star and a Dual County League first team all-star by DCL coaches. Lucia Ochsendorf was also named a DCL first team all-star, and Helena Demissie was named to the second team.

Boys’ cross-country: The boys’ cross-country team finished fourth in Division 1A at the MIAA Sectional Championships on Saturday in Wrentham. The Falcons had 132 points, behind Brookline (56 points), Lexington (90 points) and St. John’s Prep (122 points). CRLS will compete at the Meet of Champions this Saturday at Fort Devens. 

Thomas Dewitt was the top runner for CRLS, finishing seventh with a time of 16:02.1. He was followed by Leon Ibanez Fraile (14th place, 16:15.9), Liam Eldridge (32nd place, 16:46.5), Kieran Eichler (37th place 16:51.9) and Henry Parker (42nd place, 16:53.3).

Girls’ cross-country: The girls’ cross-country team finished seventh at the Sectional Championships and will compete at the Meet of Champions. Sophia Juanes Seto was the top runner for CRLS, finishing 14th with a time of 19:06.2. She was followed by Violet Smith (26th place, 19:55.0), Fiona Litman (39th place, 20:30.7), Neelu Trivedi (63rd place, 21:22.7) and Lauren Sebesta (69th place, 21:32.4).
