A judge has dismissed a domestic violence charge against the Boston man who was injured in a Thanksgiving Day shooting in Central Square that killed 27-year-old Danasia Greene of Cambridge. He faces more charges.
The first gunfire of the year in Cambridge came Thursday. Like many of the city’s such incidents, no victims were found – only evidence a weapon was fired.
Police have been working around the clock following up on leads to a fatal shooting Nov. 23 and expect an arrest shortly, law enforcement officials said at a community meeting.
A week after an early morning Thanksgiving day shooting in Central Square killed a woman and injured a man, law enforcement authorities identified the woman as Danasia Greene, 27, and said she lived on Child Street in Cambridge’s North Point.
A man was injured early Sunday in the third gunfire incident in a row at Washington Elms housing in The Port neighborhood, and the second with a victim.
The third gunfire incident of the year took place around 1 a.m. Sunday in The Port, just like the previous two, and at the same address as the most recent previous report: Washington Elms housing at 108 Harvard St.
It’s been nearly four months since Cambridge police were called to the sound of gunfire, but an incident late Sunday brought officers back to The Port neighborhood.
