Jesus may love you, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve the respect of an honorific – hence the Mr. Jesus Church at 503B Medford St., Somerville, near Ball Square.

Until recently this spot was the pentecostal Assembly of God New Vision church, but it’s rebranded or moved in favor of another church with similar interest in the area’s Brazilian population. The entire section of street leans toward the Brazilian, from the Churrasco Buffet & Grill next door to the clothing, grocery and money transfer and check cashing stands around it.
