The expiration of 2014 resident parking permits has been extended through Wednesday – allowing three additional days to apply for this year’s permits without being ticketed – because of recent weather complications, said Traffic, Parking and Transportation Department officials.

The department “realizes it has been a long and difficult week due to the blizzard of 2015 and the closing of schools and city buildings for two days during the busiest period for renewing resident parking permits,” officials said Friday. “To give residents more time, the department is extending the expiration” and 2015 permit application period.

Cambridge residents who have yet to apply for their 2015 permits are encouraged to use the city’s online application here. Residents can also apply in person at the department at 344 Broadway. Office hours are Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
