082916i-The-Sinclair-signJust in time for returning college students pining for weekdays they can treat like weekends, The Sinclair in Harvard Square is using August to introduce Hump – a dance party taking place the last Wednesday of every month. (Wednesdays are also known as hump day.)

The party runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in The Sinclair restaurant and on its rooftop patio, costing $5 at the door to enjoy spins by DJ Ryan Brown and Hush & Bons and be convinced to indulge in drinks by sponsors Lord Hobo Brewing, FernetBranca and Narragansett Beer.

“There’s nothing like a good dance party to help you forget what day it is,” event publicist Mary Concannon said.

Brown, who’s been posting on the event’s Facebook page as the inaugural party comes closer, said he was excited to play a new track by Cambridge’s own Soul Clap:

“Heater of a track right here,” Brown said.

Hump takes place from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 1 a.m. Thursday at The Sinclair, 52 Church St., Harvard Square.
