Craigie on Main’s Super Bowl centerpiece.

Craigie on Main suggests people skip the Cheetos this Super Bowl. The Main Street restaurant is offering a Pigs Head Package for Feb. 4 that feeds up to six people with some more traditional foods – a dozen chicken wings are included – but a unique centerpiece: half a “Slow-Roasted Milk-Fed Baby Pig’s Head.”

“Skip the seven-layer dip and microwaveable cheese,” the restaurant says in an enticing email. “We’re psyched to send you home with our famous cult favorite, complete with all the fixins’.”

The $75 package includes the wings and baby pig’s head; black beans, guacamole, red chile sauce and tortillas; cabbage slaw; and cornbread. That full rack of spice-crusted pork ribs mentioned in the email is actually $25, and the half-dozen pork sausages with sauerkraut and homemade mustards is another $25.

The restaurant will have a surprising number of baby pigs’ heads around; for pickup Feb. 4, the last time to reserve is Feb. 3.

Worth noting: Anna’s Taqueria also has a Super Bowl play. Along with a 12 percent catering discount for the day (in honor of Patriot No. 12, Tom Brady), the Mexican chain is pushing its Cubio creation, a “monstrous, 30-plus inch burrito fit for a crowd.”
