Nothing says summer quite like homemade pie, but homemade can be a tall order. At Petsi Pies, the treat comes in large, medium or small, which is 5 inches and meant to serve one to two people. There’s a long list of flavors on offer, sweet (classic apple, brown butter pecan, strawberry rhubarb) and savory (bacon leek and gruyere, bacon corn and jalapeño, chicken pot pie). I tried the summer peach pie, which was absolutely delightful. The crust was perfectly golden brown on top and sturdy enough on the bottom to support the juicy peaches, which were seasoned with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. For $10, it’s a pretty sizable dessert that felt well worth the money. If you want pie without the hassle of making one or the occasion to warrant a full-sized pastry, a small Petsi Pie is perfect for a large or shared snack.
