From the Cambridge Police Department, Sept. 24, 2017: Cambridgeport and Riverside residents and businesses are invited to a community meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to further discuss city and police response to Sept. 5 and Sept. 10 shootings that took place on River Street. A meeting was held Sept. 13 on the same topic.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for residents to meet and talk about any crime and safety concern with their neighborhood sergeant and lieutenant and other police officials, as well as to hear about services offered by the police department.

The meeting is to be held in the auditorium of the Martin Luther King Jr. School and Putnamย Avenue Upper School, 102ย Putnam Ave., in the Riverside neighborhood.
